This study measured the beneficial effect pets (mostly dogs but some cats) can have on an old person's mental acuity. Pets can provide social companionship plus a sense of duty and purpose.
From what I could tell, there was a slight increase in mental well-being, mostly among men and black pet owners.
My conclusion is that this study is an example of how to waste grant funds!

Among other eye-openers, we are told that many doctors do not like MA plans. Apparently, the doctors are not paid as promptly with the automatic process they enjoy with Medicare supplement plans.
I want to be treated by happy, highly motivated doctors!

Lewis & Roxanne received vaguely threatening letters from Medicare ordering them to prove they had "creditable" drug coverage from their employer plan.
Also, Mr. Regina needs to know how to stop Social Security from automatically enrolling Mrs. Regina in Part B of Medicare. That's easy!

Take the cost of the full Plan G you might have bought, calculate the annual savings you will realize by purchasing the very inexpensive HDG, and subtract that figure from the HDG deductible. Bingo! That is the actual amount at risk.
Great news: Randy survived yet another St. Patrick's Day! That makes approximately 300 by my count but he retains his youthful good looks!
