Two types of cost-free medical visits under Medicare:
1) Welcome to Medicare visit - within the first 12 months.
2) Annual Medicare wellness visit - every 12 months.
There are different criteria for each of these but if problems are discovered, they can be turned into diagnostic procedures.

They aren't always paragons of virtue, but twice in the last year or so they have made me proud to be an American.
BCBSIL has introduced Medicare supplement plans with extra goodies that the Federal government does not mandate.
This is innovation of the highest order; it can only happen in a profit-driven free enterprise environment that encourages experimentation for the ultimate benefit of all!

Listener Brian X heard about "Direct Contracting Entities" on another podcast and wanted to know what the MLM opinion of this new type of managed care scheme would be.
DCEs appear to be antithetical to freedom and not welcome in MY universe, but never fear: other forces of evil are vigorously opposed to them as well.

After a lengthy story time inspired by Randy's stint as a General Mills consultant, the Medicare content in this episode is fairly skimpy.
Dominick asked about the potential pitfalls of Medicare MSAs. I was pleased to be able to report that almost all of the weaknesses he listed were not really elements of the plan I represent.
Sure, it is possible that this type of plan will disappoint, as I warn about all Medicare Advantage plans but my innate optimism springs eternal!

Ray's wife, Deann, is concerned that, in the event of a change of plans, the opportunity to buy an excellent supplement plan in the future may evaporate.
Also, John writes to ask what Medicare supplement plans I might recommend for him. Within a short time he articulates the same choice I would have suggested.
It is great when a client comes to the best conclusion on his own!
