A better copy of the the source article "What to do about the reported Plan F Death Spiral" allows me to clarify prior remarks.
The likely unpleasant future premium cost for those who own Plan F can be relieved with the help of an insurance agent. If one is able to switch to Plan G or, better yet, High Deductible Plan G (HDG), one's cash flow prospects will improve dramatically!

Seems like I should have stressed that in this episode. If you are offered a retiree plan, it is likely to take the form of a supplement plus prescription drug plan.
Also, Barbara comes to the same conclusion as me: most Medicare agents do not want their clients to discover the cost-effective joy of High Deductible Plan G.
It would tend to cut into their income, since their commission is a percentage of what your premium cost amounts to. The more expensive your purchase, the more commission the agent makes!

Three rating methods exist for Medicare supplements. Throw out Community Rating. Why? Because Community Rating is so horrible that it is only used in states that force all companies to use it.
The other two methods produce essentially equivalent costs for the policyholders, in spite of what Federal bureaucrats would have you believe!

The principles of insurance do not permit unlimited enrollment periods; a participant must have a good reason or else the only ones insured will be those who drain the plan into bankruptcy.
This episode contains a synopsis of all the periods during which it is permissible to enroll in a prescription drug plan. Remember that a late enrollment brings a lifetime penalty so enroll ASAP!
