After being trapped in the confines of a managed care (HMO/PPO) health plan, some new enrollees don't understand the freedom that comes with Medicare supplements. Asking the wrong question will elicit an erroneous response.
The fact is, if a medical office accepts patients insured by Medicare Parts A & B, it will unquestionably accept any insurance company's supplement plan also. If you insist on making sure, phrase the question carefully to get an accurate response.

Thanks to legislation sponsored by the Trump administration, government roadblocks to convenient e-visits with medical practitioners are being cast aside. A wide variety of specialties are now able to meet electronically with patients in distant locations (such as their homes) and receive compensation equal to in-office visits.
Patients used to be forced to leave their homes to partake of electronic technology from central, public locations. At last, senseless regulations prohibiting commonsense use of technology for medical treatment are being swept aside, resulting in a more effective and efficient practice of medicine.

The author's neighbor, in her 70s, was sailing along through a carefree life until she had a massive stroke. With no Medicare supplement or prescription drug coverage, she hit the fiscal equivalent of a brick wall.

Dental, vision & hearing insurance continues to be a popular subject and we have an excellent plan to offer those who are interested.
Also, a dentist wants to know if he can keep his current health insurance plan after turning 65 while continuing to work. Pleased with the answer, I promised to contact me at retirement time to enroll in a Medicare supplement and drug plan.

Several years ago a "whistleblower suit" was settled in the amount of $32 million.
The allegation was that two Medicare Advantage plans exaggerated the seriousness of patient conditions. They also were accused of claiming payment for nonexistent illnesses.
