Coincidentally, a well regarded insurance company in Ohio announced it has severed ties with a large network of medical providers.
Where will those members go for treatment when they need it? Their Advantage plan has become degraded but they are trapped in it until AEP next fall. We cannot address all of the pitfalls in this single episode.

After being questioned at some length, even asked to complete a 3rd party questionnaire, I warned that he might be over-thinking the Medicare Supplement purchase process. My prospect replied in measured but very firm tones that I had been the one to warn readers of my book about the potential land mines waiting for the unwary.
Eventually, I had to admit he was correct! The fun starts at minute 12:30.
