…"shameful marketing of Medicare Advantage plans". Unfortunately, the article seems to have been written by an avowed Communist that hates our free enterprise system, not to mention the persuasive efforts of Broadway Joe.
Still, the piece makes some critically important points with regard to the billions of dollars frittered away by the government through the Medicare Advantage program.

The short version: A careless hospital employee drops Gramps on his head; the hospital manages to keep Gramps alive for three expensive weeks in the ICU; after Gramps expires his family wins a wrongful death lawsuit against the hospital; then Medicare swoops in to collect the money it paid the hospital to keep Gramps alive.
Seems like Gramps is the big loser here, but the litigator does all of the crying.
