How about withdrawing from Part B while temporarily joining an employer group insurance plan? That process is a little more murky.

An insurance company position paper suggests that agents steer customers to Plan N as the the rates for Plan G respond to upward pressure.

Among the take-aways is that we are all separate individuals in the Medicare world. Husbands and wives may find themselves with different supplement plans from different companies.
However, watch out for the salesman who insists that you buy a drug plan from your Medicare Supplement insurance company. Insist on a search for the least expensive plan available consistent with your drugs and stores.

This can't be said too often: High Deductible Plan G (HDG) is a terrific value for all but the most chronically ill Medicare participants.
Unless there is a year of unusually large Medical bills, the premium cost is very low and offers substantial savings over the cost of regular Plan G.

Signing up for Part B was just a little more confusing than Steve expected it to be. He and I were able to put our heads together and figure it out, starting at minute 8:00.
Afterwards, Randy described his efforts to negotiate a reasonably priced inhaler from the prescription drug cartel he is forced to deal with.
